Because everyone has a certain level of anxiety, many people struggle with knowing when to get help. Anxiety is fear, and if the fear that you or someone you love is experiencing is causing physical issues or making it difficult to engage in work, social, or other activities, then it’s time to get help.
There is usually a story that goes along with anxiety; some kind of core belief or negative self impression that contributes to the fear. I use various tools (ACT skills, Resourcing, Mindfulness) and collaborative accountability to help my clients start recognizing and reframing the story that’s causing them fear and anxiety.
