Low Motivation & Procrastination

Typically with low motivation clients, the first line of attack is to break it down to what is making you feel really overwhelmed. A lot of Type-A personalities can have so many things to do, that you’re getting out of your optimal arousal zone and are instead hyperaroused, overwhelmed, and reactive.

Breaking things down into small pieces and helping you tackle one thing at a time is helpful. This might include filling the day with low priority tasks, making to-do lists, working on organization and prioritization, and breaking things down. I teach relaxation and mindfulness skills, which will allow you to be more present and engaged with each step of your day.
